  Manchester has no need for a Data Center. Not only will it destroy our rural way of life, but will use up huge amounts of water from our aquifer. We've already had drought & water use restrictions this year. The cooling system will then have toxic material to be released where? The strain on our already aging electric utility grid that can barely handle our load will be degraded, and the residential customers will be stuck paying higher bills for AI Corporations. We will all be left living in a deserted wasteland, devoid of the beauty of wildlife, trees, & nature. Instead, we will be "hummed" to sleep by running generators, trucks, and more traffic. Not how I want to spend my "golden years". Repeal the ordinances and come to your senses Manchester Town Council. I remember and I vote!

  I oppose these data centers. Due to amount of water needed to cool the system. Which will also pull tons of water from the area. We already have a drought warning. The electric it uses will pull from the area that already has issues with the growth in the area and the strain on the system. Usually the answer is NOT the residents, but those companies building them and those in power that allow it to happen.

  I strongly oppose the construction of a large data center in our town because the potential long-term impact on our community far outweighs the benefits being promised. Data centers can require enormous amounts of electricity and, depending on their cooling systems, significant amounts of water, placing additional strain on local infrastructure and resources. They can also bring constant equipment noise, large industrial buildings, backup generators, increased construction and truck traffic, and changes to the character of surrounding residential areas. Unlike many other types of development, data centers typically occupy a tremendous amount of space while providing relatively few permanent local jobs once construction is complete. I am also concerned about how a project of this scale could affect nearby property values, future utility costs, the environment, and our town’s ability to accommodate future residential and community needs. Before allowing such a major industrial development, residents deserve complete transparency regarding its power and water demands, noise levels, environmental impact, tax incentives, emergency-generator emissions, infrastructure upgrades, and exactly who will be responsible for those costs. Our town should prioritize development that benefits the people who live here and preserves the quality of life that made us choose this community in the first place.
