Protect the Black Run Preserve - Online Public Hearing

Date: Tuesday, July 15th at 9:30 AM
Location:  Join Online, or Meet in Person at Pine Tree Center, 110 Buttersworths Bogs Rd, Tabernacle, NJ 08088* (If meeting in person, we will meet at 9 AM to have time to gather)

The Black Run Preserve is one of the most beloved natural areas in New Jersey and an important keystone of the Pinelands National Reserve. The headwaters forest of the preserve is threatened by a development proposal that would bulldoze some 778 acres and degrade the water and habitat quality for generations. However, we have a window of opportunity to expand the preserve and prevent degradation by redesignating the headwaters of the preserve to a forest area. The Pinelands Commission is having a hearing to consider this proposal, and we need your voice to help make it happen. Join nature advocates and trail enthusiasts on July 15 to tell the Pinelands Commission to protect the headwaters of the Black Run Preserve for people, for wildlife, and for the generations to come.

How can you help now?

The hearing by the Pinelands Commission is going to be conducted online; however, you can join us at the Pine Tree Center to discuss the topic and give comments via teleconference to the Pinelands Commission. If meeting in person, we will meet at 9 AM to have time to gather.

Read more about the issue on our website. If you are unable to join us in person, make sure to attend the Pinelands Commission meeting on July 15th at 9:30 am on Youtube. Details can be found here.
